Data handling
The mortgage and rent affordability calculator runs entirely in your browser. Figures you enter (income, debts, deposit, rates, terms) are processed locally and are not transmitted to HouseBudget.co.uk or any third-party service via the calculator itself.
The site does not create accounts, collect personal identifiers, or store your results. Closing the page clears your inputs. Aggregated site usage data is captured separately through Google Analytics to help understand how the calculator is used overall.
Cookies and tracking
HouseBudget.co.uk uses Google Analytics (GA4) to measure anonymous traffic and page interactions. Google Analytics sets cookies to recognise repeat visits and track aggregated usage. The data is used only to improve the calculator and is not combined with the numbers you enter into the tool.
A cookie banner will appear if optional cookies are introduced in the future. It will link to this Privacy Policy, the Cookie Notice, and the Terms so you can review details and manage your choices before non-essential cookies are set.
